(Keene, Tx) – Two additional charges have been filed against former Johnson County Precinct 4 Deputy Constable Daniel Collins.

The 34-year-old Collins now faces two counts of injury to a child on top of his earlier charges of assault family violence.  The Cleburne Times Review reports the first two charges stem from a Burleson PD investigation, the latter two from the Keene Police Department.  According to an arrest affidavit, Collins allegedly choked his 15-year-old son on several occasions.  Burleson police confirm that Collins, a resident of Keene, turned himself in last week in Hill County.

Johnson County authorities say Collins resigned his position on Sept. 16th.
