(Waxahachie, Tx) – A 14-year-old Waxahachie boy was killed over the weekend while driving a go-cart.

The Department of Public Safety says just before 1:00 Sunday afternoon, the teen was driving the go-cart westbound on Becky Lane just outside the Waxahachie city limits, when he struck a culvert and went airborne.  The go-cart overturned, landing on top of the boy.

He was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Waxahachie where he died from his injuries.
