(Granbury, Tx) – A 41-year-old Granbury man is accused of trying to rob a bank over the weekend.

Granbury Police say Paul Anthony Carey Jr. was arrested and charged with robbery after he threatened an employee at the Walmart bank on Saturday.  Investigators say Carey quickly left with no money after a bank employee tripped the alarm.  He was caught a short time later at a nearby fastfood restaurant.

Police said although Carey threatened to use a gun during the bank heist, he didn’t actually have a gun.
