(Dallas, TX) — Big Tex is back in mothballs for another year.

The 55-foot-tall cowboy welcomed more than two-and-a-half-million visitors to the State Fair of Texas this season. The 2019 fair wrapped up on Sunday.

A giant crane took down Big Tex on Wednesday, and then a team of workers dismantled him till next time.
