(Leander, TX) — A resident of Leander is the winner of the biggest Texas Lottery prize ever won by a single player.

The winner scored the 227-million-dollar jackpot prize for the Mega Millions drawing on September 24th. The winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, will receive more than 157-million-dollars, the after-taxes value of the ticket’s cash option.

The winning ticket was a quick-pick that was sold at a convenience store in Cedar Park.
