Stephenville Man Tied To More Than A Dozen Burglaries

(Stephenville, Tx) – A man believed to be responsible for more than 15 burglaries in Erath and Comanche counties has been taken into custody.

The Stephenville Empire Tribune reports 43-year-old Jason Stephens was arrested at his Washington Street home in Stephenville, after investigators with the Erath County Sheriff’s Office, Comanche County Sheriff’s Office and Stephenville police executed a search warrant and recovered up to $10,000 in stolen property, including four guns, hunting equipment and a $3,600 Louis Vuitton purse.

The search also turned up some Methamphetamine in the home, where two other people were also arrested.  Police say Stephens will likely face additional charges in Comanche County for burglary of a building and possession of a firearm.
