Bush’s Service Dog Sully Honored With Statue

(Smithtown, NY)  —  A bronze statue of George H.W. Bush’s former service dog is soon to come to College Station.

Sully became famous last year for a photo of him mourning his owner.  The Labrador was seen guarding the late president’s coffin.  The two had only been together for six months but had a special bond.  The statue of Sully shows him in his service vest holding a leash in his mouth.

It will be placed in the Bush Presidential Library and Museum.
