(Fort Worth, TX) — American Airlines flight attendants say they don’t want to get back on board the Boeing 737 Max jet when it’s no longer grounded.
The union representing the 28,000 flight attendants for the Fort Worth-based carrier sent a letter to the CEO of Boeing, stating they want to have a say in evaluating the safety of the jet before it returns to service. The FAA grounded the planes in March after two deadly crashes.
American has two-dozen of the jets, and Dallas-based Southwest has 34. The grounding has cost both airlines millions of dollars.
