(Somervell County, Tx) – The body of a man found last week in a field near Rainbow has been identified as Mark Alan Tipton by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner.
The Somervell County Sheriff’s Office says Tipton was the subject of a missing person case they had been working since Oct. 23rd when he was reported missing. His body was discovered 5 days later by the property owner just south of County Road 303 in Somervell County.
Tipton’s cause of death is still pending toxicology results and investigators say once they find out how he died, they can determine if it becomes a criminal investigation. The Texas Rangers are assisting in the case.
