(Arlington, TX) — Arlington voters will decide today on a bond issue to build or refurbish schools and athletic facilities.

Some of the 966-million-dollars in funding would also be used to improve transportation and security.  If the bond package wins voter approval, security will be upgraded at all schools in the Arlington ISD.  In addition, new playgrounds are to be installed at elementary schools, and some schools will be completely rebuilt.

District officials say the bond issue won’t raise taxes on Arlington residents.
