(Granbury, Tx) – Employees in Granbury ISD recently took part in safety and security trainings to protect students and staff in the case of an emergency.

The Hood County News reports members of the Hood County Sheriff’s Office, Granbury Police Department and Texas EMS helped facilitate the active shooter and CPR training for the staff.  The school district is in the process of implementing Alertus, an emergency notification software that will allow campus staff to better report alerts.

The district also has agreements with Granbury PD and the Hood County Sheriff’s Office to allow controlled access to district security surveillance cameras in case of emergency.
