(Stephenville, Tx) – It wasn’t the ending they hoped for, but for #3 Tarleton State it was an amazing ride to close out their last season in Division II play.

The 11-0 Texans lost the first round of the NCAA Division II playoffs over the weekend, 23-16 to #21 Texas A&M-Commerce at Memorial Stadium in Stephenville.  Coming off an undefeated reagular season, Tarleton won back-to-back Lone Star Conference championships.

Next season the Texans make the move to NCAA Division I.
