(Fort Worth, TX) — The Fort Worth ISD teacher who was fired for sending perceived anti-immigrant tweets to President Donald Trump has her job back.

Georgia Clark was an English teacher at Carter-Riverside High School who tweeted that the school had been “taken over” by illegal immigrants from Mexico and she wanted the President’s help.  After Fort Worth ISD fired her, Clark appealed.  Now an independent examiner has found that Clark’s tweets were protected free speech and didn’t violate district policy.  He said her firing wasn’t justified.

Clark is also eligible for back pay.  The district has 20 days to appeal.
