(Weatherford, TX)  —  Parker County Sheriff’s investigators are looking for the Grinch who stole a baby Jesus statue from a nativity scene outside a Weatherford home this past weekend.

The woman was caught on a home surveillance camera and appeared to be recording the theft on her own cellphone. Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said “We are perplexed at the reasoning behind this theft.” The homeowners told investigators that perhaps, “the suspect needed Jesus more than we do.”

A $1,000 reward is being offered in the case.
