(Parker County, Tx) – A Fort Worth man has been indicted for robbing the home of a Willow Park woman while she was at a funeral.

A Parker County grand jury indicted 26-year-old Jerry Alton Benton for burglary of a habitation.  The victim told police that she came home from her father’s funeral to find her home on Queensway Road in Willow Park had been broken into through an unlocked garage.  The thief had taken cash, a coin collection and a handgun.  The holster for the stolen gun was later found in Benton’s car.

He remains in the Parker County Jail on $25,000 bond.
