(Benbrook, TX) — An elderly man is dead following a house fire in Benbrook.

Firefighters say the 87-year-old’s body was discovered after flames destroyed a home on Sundown near Dawn Sunday night.  It’s not yet known what caused the fire to start.

Then Monday night, Fort Worth Firefighters responded to a house fire on W. Felix with a person trapped inside.  Crews pulled an 82-year-old woman from the burning home.  She was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but later died.  The cause of this fire is also under investigation.
