(Austin, TX) — Texas lawmakers are considering tougher regulatory steps for vaping devices.
The Texas Department of State Health Services says 108 people have come down with vaping-related illnesses since April, and one has died. Almost a quarter of the reported cases involved minors under age 18. The state legislature on Tuesday considered such moves as limiting the available flavors of e-cigarettes, increased marketing campaigns against their use, and raising fines on retailers who sell vapes to minors.
