Hood County Man Accused Of Killing Wife

(Granbury, TX) — A Hood County man is in custody in connection with the death of his wife.

The Sheriff’s Office says Edward Pautenis killed Jennifer Pautenis in late October, then disposed of her body. The woman’s family reported her as missing, Edward Pautenis claimed she had run off with another man. Investigators recently found remains which may belong to the 29-year-old woman.

Edward Pautenis was arrested Wednesday at a home in Granbury on charges of murder and tampering with evidence. No motive has been given for the alleged killing.
