(Fort Worth, Tx) –  The Tarrant County Medical Examiner says a 24-year-old custodial worker at the new Dickies Arena was killed over the weekend after being crushed by a mechanical entry gate.

The victim has been identified as Juan Carlos Julian Jr., a janitor employed by third party contractor, Service First Janitorial.  The company that runs the arena, Trail Drive Management Corp. released a statement saying they were “… deeply saddened by the death of Juan Carlos Julian, Jr….. We offer our sincere condolences to Mr. Julian’s family, friends and co-workers.”  Trail Drive Management says safety is a top priority at the arena and they are cooperating with authorities in the investigation.
