(Arlington, TX) — Fire investigators are still trying to determine the cause of a two-alarm blaze that broke out at the unfinished Globe Life Field on Saturday.
Crews responded about 2:30 p.m. to the fire in the upper sections of the Texas Rangers’ new ballpark. They put it out within about half an hour with no injuries reported. As of last week, the ballpark is about 85-percent complete. No word yet if the fire will delay the stadium’s opening day.
The Rangers are scheduled to start the 2020 season there in March, and several concerts are already scheduled as well.
