(Fort Worth, TX) — Weekly rodeos in the Fort Worth Stockyards may become less frequent as a result of a new management deal at the Cowtown Coliseum.
City Council on Tuesday approved a management contract for the city-owned Stockyards venue. The Fort Worth Heritage Development Company will take over the coliseum’s day-to-day operations and programming decisions. The group is also building a shopping center right across the street.
The current manager says the every-weekend rodeos may happen only a time or two a month.
