(Weatherford, Tx) – The Parker County Sheriff’s Office, says they’re getting new leads on a cold case after getting a positive identification on the remains of a man found on private property near Farm-to-Market Road 51 and Veal Station Road back in 1985.

Through recent DNA tests, the Medical Examiner has been able to confirm that the skeletal remains were those of William Arthur Fiegener, who was 22 at the time of his murder in 1984.  Fiegener’s remains were found about a year later in a shallow grave, by a man and his son walking the property.

The Parker County Sheriff’s Office says additional leads were developed, pointing investigators toward the identification of possible family members on the east coast.  Investigators have not released Fiegener’s cause of death due to the ongoing murder investigation.
