Church Carries On After Deadly Shooting

(White Settlement, TX) — Members of West Freeway Church of Christ aren’t letting the recent deadly shooting dampen their spirits.

Hundreds filled the church on Sunday to hear a sermon on remembrance and healing. A week earlier, a homeless man gunned down two church members at a Sunday service before being taken out by armed church members. Governor Greg Abbott attended Thursday’s funeral for one of the victims.

The other funeral is set for Saturday.
