(Undated) — A new survey from the U.S. News & World Report ranks Texas as only the 38th best of the 50 U.S. states.
The study’s rankings were based on data from public and government sources concerning eight different categories. A nationwide survey of 50-thousand people ranked the categories in order of importance as health care, education, economy, infrastructure, opportunity, fiscal stability, crime, and the environment.
The report fails to explain why Texas is still one of the most popular places for people from other states to move to.
