(Stephenville, Tx) – An Erath County woman is facing some serious charges for allegedly dumping hundreds of pounds of trash in a creek bed underneath a bridge on County Road 258.

Lt. Ben Moore with the Erath County Sheriff’s Office tells the Stephenville Empire Tribune that they were initially contacted by the landowner about the trash and that it took jail inmates a day to clean up the trash and take it to the landfill.

Ironically, it was the trash itself that led investigators to the alleged perpetrator.  Moore said “We found several identifying pieces of information in the trash,”.
