Prison Term For Woman Who Stole $300K From Youth Baseball Club

(Mansfield, TX) – A 52-year-old woman is off to prison for eight years for stealing nearly $300,000 from the Mansfield Youth Baseball Association.

Jennifer Witteveen was the association’s volunteer treasurer when her son was on the team from 2012 to 2018. An audit found she had written fraudulent checks and made unauthorized withdrawals. She claimed she used the money to pay medical bills, but most of it reportedly went to Amazon purchases and dining out.

Witteveen ultimately pleaded guilty to a charge of theft of property.
