(Houston, TX) — A massive explosion is being reported in Houston.
The explosion early this morning rocked a northwest Houston neighborhood, and was reportedly felt across the city. It’s not clear exactly what happened, but fire and a large debris pile can be seen in the area of the Westbranch neighborhood. Residents in the area have reported broken windows and doors from the blast.
The explosion was reportedly felt as far as 20 miles away. Houston Fire Dept tweeted that hazmat crews were on the scene and that one person was taken to the hospital.
ABC 13 in Houston reports the owner of the business Watson Grinding has confirmed the explosion happened there from a propylene gas explosion. Two employees were injured 1 was taken away in an ambulance.
