(Dallas, TX)  —  The Dallas Cowboys are celebrating their 60th anniversary this week, and in the year ahead.

The NFL awarded Clint Murchison Jr. an expansion team on January 28th, 1960, which was 60 years ago on Tuesday.  As the league’s 13th team, the Cowboys were off to a rough start, with a record of 0-11-and-1 that first season.

The team is planning a year-long celebration, marked with special events, recognitions and announcements throughout 2020.
