Fire Heavily Damages Haltom City Trash Facility

(Haltom City, TX) — Residents of Haltom City may be in for delays in trash pickup, following a fire at the town’s Waste Connections facility.

The blaze broke out late Tuesday night at the facility on Old Denton Road. The fire marshal says an apparent electrical short started the fire in one of the trash trucks. The fire spread to more of the fleet, destroying 11 trash trucks in all.
