(Dallas, TX) — The Texas Department of Transportation is preparing North Texas roads for the winter weather in Wednesday’s forecast.
Crews started Monday to treat highways, bridges and overpasses with a brine solution ahead of possible icy conditions. A winter storm watch was issued for Tarrant, Parker, Palo Pinto, Denton and Grayson counties, along with other areas west and north of Dallas-Fort Worth.
Areas north and west of I-35W could be hit with icy rain, sleet and possibly snow. South and east of DFW, the forecast calls mostly for sleet and rain.
