(Whitehouse, TX) — A town in East Texas is celebrating its hometown hero, the quarterback who led his team to a Super Bowl win on Sunday.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a native of the Tyler suburb of Whitehouse. Signs and decorations all over the town are honoring Mahomes, who was a star athlete at Whitehouse High School in both football and baseball.
At age 24, Mahomes now has a Super Bowl ring and was also named the game’s MVP.
