(Fort Worth, TX) —  A state appeals court says a one-year-old baby will stay on life support until it makes its final ruling in her case.

Texas’ Second Court of Appeals heard arguments on Tuesday in the case of Tinslee Lewis.  A lower court had said Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth could take the baby off life support.  Doctors at the hospital say Tinslee is suffering from heart and lung problems and will never get better.

Her mother, 20-year-old Trinity Lewis, says she wants to move the baby to another hospital.
