(Fort Worth, TX)  —  The teen who raised the Grand Champion steer at the Fort Worth Stock Show Junior Steer Show has plans for the animal’s record sale price.

Ryder Day raised the steer that sold for $300,000, which is $60,000 more than the previous record price paid for grand champion steer.

Day says his family will use the money to put him and his brother through college, and will also spend part of it on their ranch and their animals.
