(Rio Vista, TX) — School’s out for the rest of the week in the Rio Vista ISD because of widespread illness among the students.
The district in Johnson County, shut down at noon on Tuesday. One in seven kids in the district of 770 students were out sick with colds, flu, or other illnesses. Most of those at the elementary school. Custodial staff will use the time to disinfect all the schools.
The district observes the President’s Day holiday Monday and then classes will resume on Tuesday.
