(Fort Worth, TX) — A high schooler’s family is suing her school district after she was punished for having drugs she says were not hers.
Caroline Rhodes’s parents bought her a car in December without having it detailed. Last week, police brought drug-sniffing dogs to Eaton High School in the Northwest ISD in far North Fort Worth, where Rhodes is a junior, and found marijuana under the seats.
Rhodes was suspended for three-days, booted permanently from the drill team, and spent 45 days at her school’s alternative program. Her mother says Rhodes passed a drug test.
