A late caution jumbled up the running order in the Pennzoil 400. Despite running on old tires, seven drivers opt not to pit and restart up front for a final two lap sprint. Joey Logano fired off first at the drop of the green flag and was out front on the final lap when a multicar crash ended the race. That’s back-to-back Vegas wins for Logano while driving the race sponsor’s colors. Matt DiBenedetto came home second in a strong effort for the Wood Brothers. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. used pit strategy most of the day to finish third. Austin Dillon placed fourth and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the top five.
