(Surprise, AZ)  —  The Rangers will not have the services of pitcher Brock Burke this season.

The team announced Monday the lefty will have to have surgery on his labrum due to a partial tear.  GM Jon Daniels says Burke had discomfort while throwing and it was obvious a previous injection in his shoulder wasn’t helping.

Burke made six major league starts last season.
