(Springtown, TX) — Neighbors in a Parker County community are helping to make an 85-year-old Army veteran’s home livable.

After Teddy Hufman, a Korean War vet, suffered a stroke, his house in Springtown started falling apart because he couldn’t keep it up.  The cable man called the problem to the attention of a house cleaning company, Tarrant County Housecleaning, who gradually recruited an army of volunteers and donors.

Dozens of people have come out to carry off broken items, repair furniture, replace appliances, and donate clothes.  Plumbers, electricians, and painters are doing the needed professional work.
