(Peaster, Tx) – Peaster ISD Superintendent Lance Johnson says the district is currently pursuing an appeal with the UIL to get into a Varsity football district.

Johnson tells the Weatherford Democrat, “Our new Athletic Director and head football coach [Gary McElroy] approached me with this request which I fully support,” he adds “We also received overwhelming supportive feedback from parents about the possibility to join a UIL district.”

There’s no date yet for when a final decision will be made.  The decision doesn’t require school board action.
