(Fort Worth, Tx) – Hood County incumbents Sheriff Roger Deeds and County Attorney Matt Mills were victorious over their challengers in Tuesday’s Republican primary elections, but candidates in County Commissioner races for Precincts 1 and 3 are headed for a May runoff.
Former Mineral Wells Mayor Christopher Perricone was soundly defeated in his bid for Texas House District 60 which includes Hood, Palo Pinto, Eastland and Stephens Counties. Perricone came in 4th out of 4 in the Republican Primary race, however there will be a run-off for the seat being vacated with the retirement of state Rep. Mike Lang.
Erath County Sheriff Matt Coates took an early lead over his challenger Kent Howell.
