(Arlington, TX)  —  After nearly two-and-a-half years of construction, Globe Life Field in Arlington will host its first public event within ten-days.

An executive with the Texas Rangers says the new stadium is 98-percent complete.  He says some seating and furniture still need to be installed, and crews will start a deep cleaning this weekend.  On March 14th, a country music concert featuring Chris Stapelton, will inaugurate Globe Life Field.

The Rangers and the St. Louis Cardinals play an exhibition game on March 23rd, and the home opener against the L-A Angels will be on March 31st.
