(Gainesville, TX) —  A North Texas radio station is allowed to use what state officials called a “vulgar” license plate after all.

The Department of Motor Vehicles told the management of KGAF in Gainesville that the letters GAF could stand for “give an F-bomb.”  The station’s application to use the plate was turned down, and so was an appeal.

KGAF station manager Steve Eberhart got in touch with State Representative Drew Springer Jr. of District 68.  Springer made a few phone calls, and the KGAF plate is now on the station’s van.
