(Washington, DC) — Texas will receive 35-million-dollars in funding from the CDC to help cover its response to the coronavirus outbreak.
U.S. Senator John Cornyn announced that the funds will go to the Texas State Department of Health, which will decide how to use it. The Republican Senator says some of the funding will reimburse San Antonio, which has provided quarantine space at Lackland Air Force Base, as well as other cities that have stepped up.
