Texas Universities Extend Spring Break Over Coronavirus Scare

(Austin, TX) — More Texas colleges are taking precautions to minimize the spread of the coronavirus.

Texas State announced yesterday that spring break will be extended for students by a week, followed by online classes until April 12th.  TCU also extended Spring Break through next week, then two weeks of online classes.  Baylor University plans to do the same.  Texas A&M says online classes will take place until April 28th, and Texas Tech canceled class through March 27th, after that online classes until further notice.

The University of Texas at Austin says classes will resume on campus on March 30th.   Tarleton State University in Stephenville is extending Spring Break until March 23rd.
