NWS Confirms Tornado In Wise County

(Decatur, TX) — The National Weather Service is confirming that a tornado hit Wise County on Wednesday night.

It started around 9:30 near Chico and headed northeast toward Alvord. The tornado crossed U.S. Highway 287 near Alvord, where Wise County emergency management officials confirmed damage to a building.

There were no injuries or damaged homes reported. Tornado damage was also reported near Abilene.
