North Texas Distillery Making Hand Sanitizer For Hospital

(Denison, TX) — A North Texas whiskey distillery is helping to make hand sanitizer for a local hospital.

Officials from the Texoma Regional Medical Center approached Ironroot Republic Distillery in Denison with a request. The hospital asked the distillers if they could produce high-proof alcohol that can be used to create hand sanitizer for doctors and nurses.

About 55 gallons are expected to be delivered to the hospital today, and another 200 soon.
