(Dallas, TX) — Dallas Cowboys center Travis Frederick is retiring from pro football for health reasons.
The 29-year-old player made the announcement Monday evening on social media. Frederick was back on the field last year after missing the entire 2018 season because of an autoimmune disease. He returned last year and was selected to his fifth Pro Bowl. He was a 2013 first-round pick out of Wisconsin.
Frederick says although he’s undergone a lot of recovery, he’s no longer at top of his game.
