Abbott: Texas Is Following CDC-Mandated Standards

(Austin, TX) — Gov. Greg Abbott insists he’s following CDC guidelines amid calls for him to issue a stay-at-home order in the state.

Abbott told reporters on Tuesday it’s important for people to stay home and not spread the virus across the state. Several counties and cities have issued stay-at-home orders this week because of the virus.

The Texas Democratic Party is calling for Abbott to issue a statewide stay-at-home order similar to those in other states.
