Granbury ISD Lights Empty Stadium Every Night

(Granbury, TX) — A North Texas school district is leaving the lights on at the stadium, if only for an hour every night.

Granbury ISD turned on the lights at Pirate Stadium for an hour on Wednesday night as a symbol of hope in this time of crisis. The district tweeted that it plans to turn on the lights every weeknight from 8 to 9 p.m. as a reassurance that the community will make it through the coronavirus outbreak.

Hood County confirmed its first case on Wednesday. The patient is a Hood County resident in their 50’s that had recently returned from an overseas cruise.
