(Undated) — HEB and other grocery stores across Texas are asking customers not to make shopping trips into family outings.
In order to help slow the spread of the coronavirus, shoppers are requested to have only one person do the shopping, not the entire family. HEB president Scott McClelland says he went to one of the stores recently and it looked like people were there just to get out the house because they were bored.
Grocers and health officials say the idea is to prevent large groups of people gathering during the outbreak.
